Our Careers' Leader is Mrs. Bell

She is based in Y.09 in the library. Careers advisers provide information, advice and guidance to help pupils to make realistic choices about their education, training and work. A careers adviser will provide impartial job, training and study-related advice in order to help pupils make decisions about their future and reach their full potential.

You can just pop in to see her at break and lunchtime or drop her an email at:

You will learn about careers through:

  • work done in PSRE lessons and Personal Development

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering) activities

  • activities provided by employers and other agencies, BBC School Tour, Destination Success, The Buzz

  • work linking careers to the different subjects you study

  • themed events eg. Careers Fair and Work Experience, Life Skills and College days

  • work done on your Passport to Success

  • co-curricula activities

  • One to one careers guidance

We have four core themes

  1. The world of work- learning about local employment opportunities, employers and the workplace

  2. Personal awareness - understanding personal strengths and where they could lead

  3. Careers education - learning about post-16 pathways including apprenticeships

  4. Advice and guidance - delivered impartially to support decision-making
