Dear Parent/Carer,
We have launched the Consilium Community Engagement Survey.
Dear parents and carers,
I am delighted to announce that Yvonne Baker our chair of the school’s local academy board has been awarded the OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s New Year 2022 Honours List for services to STEM education. Yvonne has worked tirelessly over a number of years to improve STEM education for young people in the UK and I know you will join me in congratulating her on this fantastic achievement. As a school we benefit from Yvonne’s expertise in STEM education and her experience of leading and improving large organisations. As a body of staff and students we feel very fortunate to have her support and guidance as we continue to navigate the transformation of Heworth Grange whilst still managing the challenges that COVID-19 poses on a daily basis. If you have a moment, you can read the full press release from STEM Learning here.
Thank you for your continued support.
With best wishes,
Allie Denholm

Dear Parents/Carers,
Following the government update on Saturday 2nd January, all students except those who are exempt must wear a face covering in shared spaces but now also in classrooms. Can parents ensure all children come to school with a face covering and if they do not have one they must acquire one from their HOY at morning line-up.
