Dear Parent/Carer,

Now that your child has settled back into school following lockdown, we feel it is an appropriate time for Year 10 to complete mock exams. We appreciate our students have had a very challenging academic year and so we are only going to complete exams in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science for now. 

From an academic point of view, the mock exams will provide us with a clear picture of where your child is in their learning and exam analysis will signpost any knowledge gaps that we will plan to cover. This has become even more important in light of the six months of classroom learning your child missed due to lock down.

The mocks will start on Wednesday 9^th December and last for 3 days. The exam timetable is below for your information.  Your child should have been given revision materials from their subject teachers. You can best support your child by encouraging them to do short and frequent sessions of revision.

To ensure we remain Covid safe, students are asked to wear a mask in the exam hall. We open all of the fire doors for ventilation and therefore students are permitted to wear their coats or jumpers as they currently do in the classroom. Desks are also distanced and students will sit at the same desk, using the same equipment for each exam ensuring there is no cross contact.
